SERP Checker questions

Is the SERP Checker free?

Yes. The program is 100% free and open source, and its browser mode checks Google, Bing and Yandex without any API key. Paid APIs are optional: use your own keys or OctopusOn credits.

Which search engines and countries are supported?

Google, Bing and Yandex, in any country and language. Google also supports city-level locations.

Does it detect AI Overviews?

Yes. It detects AI answers on the result page (Google AI Overviews, Yandex Neuro and Bing Copilot) and takes them into account in the opportunity score. It does not track citations inside ChatGPT or Perplexity.

Does browser mode solve CAPTCHAs?

No. When a search engine shows a CAPTCHA, the window waits for you to clear it. For large keyword lists, use an API source.

Where is my data stored?

On your computer. Projects, result pages and reports stay local; no account is needed.

Command line

Every feature also works from the terminal, for scripts and scheduled jobs.
